Underpinning with piled raft

This technique is applied, when the entire structure needs underpinning, especially where foundations are deeper or soils harder for small equipment to excavate to needed depth.

Piles are laid at determined locations as per loading conditions. Pockets below foundations are broken and tough needle beams are positioned to handle the structure’s load. All needle beams are connected to a ring beam. Concrete is poured on this structure. This system allows traverse and lateral ties through the structure and reduces disturbance to the drainage system.
